Dr. Bao was born in Changtan, Zhongxiang, Hubei Province, and graduated from Tsinghua University in 1992 before coming to the United States. He holds a doctorate in chemical engineering and a master's degree in statistics, and has lived and worked across the U.S. and China for more than 30 years — serving as an R&D scientist and director in the semiconductor, photovoltaic and chemical industries.
包天明博士生于湖北省钟祥市长滩镇，1992 年清华大学毕业后赴美留学， 获化工博士与统计硕士学位。他在美中两地生活工作 30 余年， 曾于美国企业担任半导体、光伏与化工领域的研发科学家与总监。
He now runs a family financial practice devoted to breakthrough financial literacy, financial services and franchising, and is the author of Personal Finance Reinvented. The Foundation grew out of a simple conviction from that work: that ordinary families can give far more than they think — and that the giving should be personal.
